Resources

Recommended Reading

What we read shapes us, often more than what we hear preached. The list below is not exhaustive — it is simply a starting point: the books, websites, podcasts, and ministries our pastors most often hand to members who want to grow. We do not endorse everything every author has ever written, but we trust these resources to help the saints at Pray’s Mill think well about God and his Word.

Confessions & Catechisms

The historic Baptist standards.

  • The Second London Baptist Confession of 1689 — our church’s confessional standard. Read alongside Scripture and you have most of Reformed Baptist theology in hand.
  • The Baptist Catechism (Keach’s) — what we use to catechize at home and in Tune My Heart. One question a week.
  • Westminster Shorter Catechism — nearly identical to the Baptist Catechism on the doctrines of God, sin, and salvation. Worth knowing.
